Assistant Product Manager

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Product Manager to join our team, based in Alfreton, Derbyshire. You will assist the Product Managers and Product Director with the seasonal range development process and co-ordinate and drive the product lifecycle from concept through to commercialisation.

 

Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Carry out research and gather information from industry data, markets, sales and marketing teams
  • Assist with writing seasonal range and product briefs
  • Identify and report on information on key competitors and target customers
  • Assist with a smooth two-way transition of information with marketing/sales/buying teams
  • Create and interpret reports to assist with product line management and decision-making process
  • Assist with managing and tracking product feedback and input from design/development process to relevant people (i.e. collate design review feedback for design team)
  • Ensure that product/sales/launch feedback is distributed correctly

Essential

  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of working as part of a busy team
  • Affinity with technical products and brands
  • Knowledge and passion for the outdoors and outdoor industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Software to an advanced level, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Able to pro-actively prioritise workload and manage own time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Desirable

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience of PLM systems; ideally NAV
